About the Role:
- Opportunity for an experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil construction operation based in Hawke's Bay.
- Manage day-to-day project costs and provide commercial support to Project Managers and operational teams across multiple civil divisions and projects.
- Report directly to the Commercial Manager, contributing to cost control, forecasting and overall project performance.
- Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, variations, claims, forecasting and monthly reporting.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities while working closely with project teams to maximise project outcomes and profitability.
Skills & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, such as a New Zealand diploma in Quantity Surveying, bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 3-6 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil construction industry.
- Strong understanding of cost reporting, forecasting, budget management and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with Project Managers and operational teams.
- New Zealand civil construction and infrastructure experience, with a strong understanding of local industry practices.
- Currently based in Hawke's Bay or willing to relocate to the region.
