Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking a proactive approach to winning of new business in order to grow profitability
  • Preparing tender documents
  • Negotiation with clients and sub-contractors
  • Financial control of contracts
  • Maintaining communication/reporting to contracts manager
  • Site Management as required
  • Establishing long-term relationships with sub-contractors
  • Help develop systems and procedures within the department
  • Help achieve sales and profitability targets
  • Helping oversee 2 juniors

To be successful in your application you will need to have a relevant qualification, a minimum of 5 years work experience within a commercial (ideally interior fitout) environment in an estimator/quantity surveyor role.

You will ideally have a carpentry background and at least 3 years managerial experience in a similar role. The knowledge of structural steel, façade, fit out or a combination of the above will be required.

There is an immediate need for a Foreman to join this high-performing team and be an integral part of this $multi-million project.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Liaising and coordinating with subcontractor’s
  • Supervision and coordination of site personnel and subcontractors
  • Reporting of all relevant site activities and managing the quality of work performed
  • Oversee and manage Health and Safety
  • Ensure site works are being performed in accordance to policies and plans
  • Arrange and deliver meetings as necessary to facilitate construction works
  • Receive and review shop drawings
  • Any other duties as directed by the Project manager

To be successful with your application, you will ideally need a trade background and experience in a managerial role.
