About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their civil construction team in the Canterbury region. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting civil projects while enjoying the excellent lifestyle this area provides.
As a motivated Project Manager, you'll support the Contract Manager across various civil construction initiatives, taking ownership and ensuring safety with a strong focus on service and quality. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality civil projects within schedule and budget constraints
- Provide specialized technical expertise as needed
- Lead and motivate effective project teams and subcontractors
- Be a champion for health and safety practices
- Collaborate with management and stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record managing infrastructure projects in New Zealand
- Civil Engineering diploma, equivalent qualification, or comparable experience
- Experience around 3 waters or roading projects preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Financial acumen for successful budget management
- Experience leading diverse teams across various project types
