About the role:
- Plan and coordinate daily site activities, allocate tasks and provide clear direction to the site team
- Lead and support site crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard
- Hands-on leadership approach, with a willingness to get involved on site and support the team wherever required
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to coordinate programme, resources and project priorities
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, plant and materials to ensure projects continue to run smoothly
- Monitor site progress, identify potential issues early and contribute to maintaining project quality, productivity and programme
Skills and experience:
- 5–10 years’ experience within the civil construction industry, with proven experience in a Foreman, Supervisor or senior Leading Hand position
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, site operations and project delivery
- Proven experience as a hands-on Machine, with the ability to operate excavators and other heavy machinery.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
- A great attitude and strong team-player mentality, with a genuine desire to contribute to and maintain the positive culture already established within the business
- A proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to identify issues early and find practical solutions on site
