Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger / Dogman to come and join our team.
The role is primarily to carry out dogman/rigging work in support of our crane requirements and carry out general labouring duties on various construction sites as required.
The successful applicant will be required to manage and direct loads in conjunction with the mobile and crawler crane operators.
To successfully apply for this position, you will need:
- Previous experience working in Commercial Construction – a minimum of 2 years
- Previous experience with directing a crane or hoist operator in the movement of loads.
- A good understanding of preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Knowledge of road transport and requirements
- Commitment to improving performance in product quality and safety
- A full driver's license
- A current dogman ticket
- Unit Standard 3789: Sling regular loads and communicate during crane operations
- A current level 1 TC ticket
- A current Site Safe Passport
- A good level of physical fitness
- A positive attitude with proven record of performing well in a team
- A strong health & safety focus
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug screening
Our ideal candidate also has their HT licences and/or a pilot licence. He/she will have a cooperative friendly manner and get on well with others, while also being competent in reading and understanding technical data and crane rating charts. Experience on a variety of machines would be an advantage, (All-Terrain, Truck Mount, Pick and Carry, Self-Loading, Crawler and Tower types).
