Structural Welder | Invercargill
$34–$40 per hour | Immediate Start | Relocation Support Available
Experienced Structural Welders are wanted for immediate-start opportunities across major structural steel projects in Invercargill.
These roles offer the opportunity to work on a variety of structural steel projects, including on-site welding, factory welding and pile splicing. Candidates must be comfortable working long hours and putting in big weeks to meet project deadlines.
With competitive hourly rates, PPE provided and potential relocation support, these opportunities are ideal for skilled welders looking for their next project.
The Role
- Carry out structural steel welding using FCAW and gasless FCAW processes
- Complete on-site welding, factory fabrication and pile splicing work
- Work from technical drawings, specifications and site instructions
- Maintain high standards of weld quality and workmanship
- Follow all site safety procedures and welding requirements
- Work extended hours and large weeks as required by project demands
What They're Looking For
- Proven structural steel welding experience
- Strong experience with FCAW and/or gasless FCAW welding
- Previous on-site structural steel welding experience
- Experience with pile splicing, site welding or factory welding is highly desirable
- New Zealand welding certifications preferred
- Reliable, hardworking and committed to producing quality work
- Ability to work extended hours and contribute to a busy project team
