Steel Fixer | Cromwell
We are working with a client is currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for a long-term project based in Cromwell. With ongoing work in the region and strong project demand, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent hours, solid pay, and the chance to be part of a high-performing crew on large-scale builds.
This role is suited to someone with hands-on experience in steel fixing who can hit the ground running and takes pride in high-quality workmanship.
What’s on offer:
- $30–$35 per hour, based on experience and capability
- 50+ hours per week – consistent work with strong earning potential
- Long-term position with the potential for future projects in the region

Key responsibilities:
- Accurately placing and securing steel reinforcing bars and mesh
- Reading and interpreting plans and construction drawings
- Preparing reinforcement for footings, slabs, columns, and beams
- Working efficiently within a team to meet daily site goals
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality standards
To be successful, you’ll need:
- At least 1–2 years of on-site steel fixing experience
- Own tools suitable for the trade
- A current Site Safe certificate
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team
