I'm currently partnering with this well-established company who specializes in commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. With an impressive portfolio of projects and continued growth plans, they're offering an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
About the Role
This permanent position offers you the chance to take ownership of cost management and procurement on a major project in Christchurch. You'll be working with a supportive team in a company known for investing in their staff and delivering quality projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Tracking project costs and highlighting any potential issues
- Managing contract variations and final accounts
- Creating accurate material takeoffs from project drawings and specifications
What You'll Need
- Proven experience (3+ years) in quantity surveying, ideally within mechanical services or HVAC
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and components
- Confident with Bluebeam software and Microsoft Office
- Sharp eye for detail and excellent analytical abilities
- Great communication skills - you'll be liaising with clients, suppliers and the project team
