Description
A leading national firm is on the hunt for a hands-on, people-focused IT Support Engineer to join their Christchurch-based team. This is a varied role with plenty of scope, perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and keeping systems operating efficiently. You'll be supporting a broad range of users across devices and platforms, providing first-line support for everything from cloud apps to network issues. You'll play a key part in making sure the wider team stays connected and productive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, first-line support for devices, cloud applications, and operating systems
- Deploy laptops, manage hardware inventory, and handle basic fixes
- Troubleshoot printers, phone systems, and connectivity issues
- Log and resolve tickets in line with ITIL-aligned processes
- Deliver great customer service and build strong internal relationships
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years in a customer-facing IT support role
- Experience in education, construction, commercial, or healthcare sectors very desirable
- Confident across Windows, iOS, Android, and cloud-based environments
- Calm under pressure, a great communicator, and solutions-focused
- Full NZ driver’s licence
