About the role?
- Proactively managing company H&S culture and obligations across all teams within business
- Complete autonomy of your workload: Use your experience in driving H&S policy to develop, implement and lead all initiatives
- Keep things fresh as you split your time between office-based duties and on-site visits for training, incident reporting and risk assessments
- Design and facilitate quarterly, company-wide H&S meetings to provide updates and guidance
- With offices in Auckland and Christchurch and sites everywhere in between, the successful candidate will travel nationally
Skills and Experience
- An NZQA Level 3 Certificate in Workplace Health & Safety as a minimum
- At least 2-3 years experience in a Health & Safety leader position with 5 years in the construction industry
- Strong and up to date knowledge of H&S legislation: Staying abreast of any industry and regulatory changes to ensure compliance
- Risk management, hazard identification, incident investigation and root cause analysis skills essential
- Strong communication skills essential: Must be comfortable influencing, training and presenting to larger groups in a variety of settings
