Construction Site Gateperson | Christchurch
Our client, a well-established construction firm, is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Gateperson to join their team on a long-term project in Christchurch, expected to run for 1–2 years. This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable, ongoing work within a professional and safety-focused site environment. You will be expected to be fit and able to work long periods as the role consists of up to 20-30k steps per day.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and direct all visitors, workers, and deliveries
- Manage site inductions and ensure all personnel sign in and out
- Assist with deliveries and coordinate site access
- Maintain security and enforce site safety procedures
- Work closely with site management and contractors
Requirements:
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for sign-in systems and ipads
- Clean criminal history
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Previous experience in construction or a similar role (preferred but not required)
