Excavator Operator – Residential Works
Christchurch Based | Ongoing Work | $30–$35/hr (Depending on Experience)
About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for a reliable and capable Excavator Operator with residential earthworks experience. You'll be operating diggers ranging from 1.8T to 14T, with a focus on fine tolerance excavation, foundation work, backfills, and demolition. This role suits someone who’s confident in reading plans, using a laser level, and happy to jump out and lend a hand on the ground when needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Class 1 licence with WTR endorsement
- Experience on 5T–10T diggers (and up to 14T)
- Residential excavation and foundation experience essential
- Proficient in cut/fill to height and operating laser levels
- Able to read site plans (preferred)
- Physically fit and happy to assist with small plant (roller, compactor)
- Own reliable transport
