About the role?
- Reporting to the General Manager, this integral leadership position will be responsible for managing the preparations, compliance and submissions of competitive bids and cost estimates for structural steel projects
- Manage, lead and motivate the performance of your team of 10 Quantity Surveyors, Estimators and Cost Engineers as you build tenders up to $100M in value
- Utilise and coordinate with key relationships across multiple internal functions while you maintain and grow external relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers
- Work alongside senior leadership team to develop strategies to maximise revenue and enhance delivery of existing and future projects
- A focus on identifying and securing future structural steel pipeline opportunities
Skills and Experience?
- At least 5 years of experience in both middle and senior management positions, preferably within the Steel industry however not essential
- Substantial experience in estimation and leading estimation teams
- Excellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Tertiary qualifications in either Quantity Surveying, Project Management or Engineering
- Extensive contracts knowledge and understanding of New Zealand’s construction sector
