My continued partnership with this client has resulted in ongoing growth throughout their organisation. They operate out of the East Tamaki area and are part of an electrical franchise group which consists of several independent franchisees operating nationwide. A well-known brand!

A large portion of their work includes providing electrical and control solutions to the water and wastewater industry. They offer a full design, installation and commissioning service to their clients and due to planned growth, are expanding their design and controls expertise.

This is a salaried position suited to an someone with a sound knowledge of electrical controls design and CAD drawing skills so previous experience is a must!

Duties will include but no be limited to:

  • Assisting the estimation team with preliminary design and scope of projects.
  • Electrical design from customer specifications of low voltage and extra-low voltage power distribution and control circuits.
  • Production of construction schematics in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Production of as-built design deliverables such as electrical schematics and layout diagrams.
  • Assisting with project management and delivery.

About:

  • Services include, structural, earthquake, preparation of drawings, 3d project modelling, stormwater design, infrastructure reports, and drainage

Responsibilities Include:

  • Civil 3D modelling and detailed design
  • Working on a number of subdivision and urban development projects
  • Help develop standards in the company
  • Provision of design and drafting support across the team
  • Quantities, calculations and cost estimates

Ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years of New Zealand experience working as a Civil 3D Technician
  • Experienced Civil 3D knowledge on NZ based Projects
  • Experience in civil infrastructure projects and/or land development projects (residential and Commercial)
  • Experience in Earthworks modelling and produce volume calculations and provide efficient designs
  • Understanding of of stormwater and wastewater design

  • You will be using BIM360 for detailing civil structures
  • You will be working off Engineers plans to then detail the required design

Experience required:

  • You will have experience using BIM360 or Revit for civil structures
  • A relevant qualification
  • 3+ years of New Zealand experience working as a designer/detailer/Technician
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to produce drawings to a specific project brief
